In my "spare time"...

Since moving to Florida I have become quite the theme-park rat; it's what we do here. I really enjoy going to Disney World and Epcot and just enjoy letting the inner-child out every now and again. For whatever reason, I never get bored of it, and I can always find a "first time" experience even if I've been to the same places a hundred times. I also like to catch an occasional cruise now and again and am so lucky we have a port right here in the Tampa Bay area; it makes it so much easier to go and enjoy. Cruising is a great way for information technology professionals to "disconnect" because you have no choice but to do so.

I like to work out, but I also like to eat; all things in balance. I have a library of software development books and like to scan those as needed, but I also try to read a "non-software dev" book every now and again to break up all of the curly braces and ones and zeros.

I am very involved in my church, the Cathedral Church of St. Peter in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida and serve as the moderator for the Friends of St. Aelred (a ministry that serves the LGBT community and others), serve on the Cathedral Communications Committee and additional sing Bass II in the Cathedral Choir and Festival Chorus.

My better half and I have a great and goofy dog that provides hours of entertainment.
