It's certainly not a new question, but today's tragedy in Japan and Hawaii highlights the challenge traditional media outlets face in addressing user-generated content. When is "real", too-real to show?

Social Media: Be careful what you wish for.
Everyone knows all about social media "wins" like Gilette's "Share Everywhere" and Old Spice's personalized videos. But, we also know "Woody", the 'Where the [expletive] is my free burger?', guy, Oprah's 'not so fried' fried chicken disaster and the recent Gap logo contest backlash.
